U.S. Army Soldiers of the 9th Hospital Center, Fort Hood, Texas, and the 531st Hospital Center, Fort Campbell, Ky., disembark a C-130J Super Hercules at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., March 25, 2020, in support of the Department of Defense’s COVID-19 response. The Soldiers departed Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst to New York City to establish mobile field hospitals to decompress bed space at local medical facilities to enable them to treat positive COVID-19 patients. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, is providing military support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help communities in need.
