Members of TMD's 6th WMD-Civil Support Team inspect N95 respirator masks at a TX DPS Warehouse in Austin on March 26, 2020. These masks will be distributed to hospitals, medical facilities, and responders in need of additional personal protective equipment in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The 6th WMD-CST has responded to many incidents in Texas and has developed relationships with response partners with whom they work. In the greater COVID-19 pandemic response, the 6th WMD-CST is currently supporting the Texas Division of Emergency Management to assess the serviceability of donated PPE and decontamination supplies before they are distributed to healthcare providers and responders throughout the state. At the same time, the 6th WMD-CST is conducting maintenance, training and coordination operations in order to maintain mission readiness to respond to WMD's and other threats.
