U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Buffalo District engineers conduct a facility assessment in Pennsylvania, March 25, 2020. The assessment examines the site's potential as alternate care facilities for COVID-19 patients.
USACE is working with the White House and Department of Defense, as well as Federal, state, and local partners to address possible medical facility shortages across the Nation. USACE is a leader in emergency operations and has unique capabilities and experience in medical facilities construction.
The Buffalo District is supporting the Baltimore District with facility assessments as part of a unified response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
