Aside from technical training, developing better leadership skills was a core element of instruction throughout the early days of the class. In an adjacent room from their classroom, Sgt. Chabot moves to inspect the class. Part of the class curriculum was practicing formations, alignment and conducting inspections. Each student soldier took a turn bringing soldiers into formation, giving commands, and conducting a quick inspection of individuals. Soldiers were graded on their performance, knowledge and military bearing.
