200301-N-NK931-1002 PHILIPPINE SEA (Mar. 1 2020) The Arleigh-Burke class guided missile destroyers USS Barry (DDG 52) and USS Mustin (DDG 89) sail in formation with the missile destroyer JS Sawagiri (DD 157) during the U.S.-Japan Bilateral Advanced Warfighting Training exercise. BAWT improves interoperability between the U.S. and Japanese forces. This exercise enhances the ability of the U.S. Navy and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force to work together to confront any contingency.(U.S. Navy photo by Ensign Samuel Hardgrove)
