U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Mark Waldschmidt, 86th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron flying crew chief, navigates through snowmobiles aboard a C-130J Super Hercules assigned to the 37th Airlift Squadron, Ramstein Air Base, Germany, at an airport in Kiruna, Sweden, prior to Exercise Cold Response 20, Feb. 27, 2020. Waldschmidt and another maintainer were responsible for ensuring the aircraft remained operable in order to successfully complete the air operations supporting the U.S. Tactical Air Control Party Airmen and British Royal Marines Commandos in the exercise.
