On Beale Air Force Base, California, Feb. 20, 2020 9th Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Airmen underwent Building Tactical Acuity for Counter IED training. This training teaches Airmen the fundamentals of human ground-sign and how it relates to the EOD mission. One of the topics covered is tracking footsteps in grass by using the shine caused by a foot flattening it. On the left is how the scene appears to the human eye, and on the right the visible tracks are highlighted. (U.S. Air Force photo-illustration by Airman Jason W. Cochran)
