U.S. Navy Equipment Operator Chief Ronnie Smith, native of Lepanto, Arkansas, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 11 Detail Thailand, instructs Malaysian Army engineers on the techniques used to lay the three-inch thick blocks for Exercise Cobra Gold 2020 humanitarian civic action mission, Feb. 14, 2020, in Rayong province, Kingdom of Thailand. This is a joint project between the Seabees with NMCB-11’s Detail Thailand, Royal Thai Navy engineers, and Malaysian Army engineers to construct a three-room school house to increase participating nations capabilities to effectively plan and execute multinational missions. Cobra Gold 20 maintains a consistent focus on humanitarian civic action, community engagement and medical activities conducted during the exercise to support the needs and humanitarian interests of civilian populations around the region.
