200211-N-WA745-1078 POHNPEI, Federated States of Micronesia (Feb. 11, 2020) Construction Electrician 3rd Class Ignacio Munguia (right), with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Pohnpei, and McNeil Roland, with the Pohnpei Department of Education, run wiring from the switches to the lights and fans at the Sokehs Elementary School project. U.S. Navy Seabees are renovating the school, which educates over 140 students from kindergarten to eighth grade from the island of Sokehs. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
