A U.S. Army Soldier, assigned to 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, works in conjunction with a civilian Port of Savannah employee, positioning a U.S. Army M1 Abrams armored track vehicle, aboard the vessel (Green Bay), headed to DEFENDER-Europe 20, in Savannah, Ga., on Feb. 12, 2020. Once the 3ID vehicles are in Europe, the U.S. Army resources for exercise DEFENDER-Europe 20 will test the Army’s ability to operate in multiple contested domains against peer/near-peer hybrid threats in complex operational environments.
