KIN BLUE, OKINAWA (Feb. 9, 2020) Landing Craft Air Cushion 09 assigned to Naval Beach Unit 7 arrives on the shoreline after Marines with Charlie Company, Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion 5th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, and Japanese service members with the Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade secured the beach during a bilateral small-boat raid on Kin Blue, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 9, 2020. Marines and ARDB conducted a bilateral small-boat raid, High-Mobility Artillery Rocket System insert and simulated shot. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
