Children cling to Jacob McClinton, a volunteer, during a community relations event at the Higashi Hoikuen Preschool in Iwakuni June 15, 2012. The volunteers spent the morning teaching the children letters and words in English. Once they finished, they participated in a relay race, played with the children on monkey bars and ropes. The event helped the children and the volunteers learn about each other’s cultures.
