SAGAMIHARA, Japan - U.S. Army Col. Patrick Costello, 38th Air Defense Artillery Brigade commander (center right) welcomes Maj. Gen. Hisanori Miyamoto (center left), commandant, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Air Defense School, along with JGSDF Air Defense School faculty and students to the Pacific Guardian Brigade Headquarters at Sagami General Depot Jan. 29 to gain a better understanding of how U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery operates in the region.
U.S. and Japan forces both share the common goal of maintaining a free and open Indo-Pacific Region. The tour and brief further enhanced the partnership and shared understanding of continued coordination and cross-domain operations.
