200125-N-YM543-581 PHILIPPINE SEA (Jan. 25, 2020) - Yeoman Seaman Recruit Ryder Bullock, from Indianapolis, Indiana, maintains tension on a phone and distance line during an underway replenishment (UNREP) with Dry Cargo and Ammunition Ship, USNS Washington Chambers (T-AKE 11). Phone and distance lines are used to carry communication cables and distance measurement flags between the supply and receiving ships while conducting the UNREP. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific Region.
