Los Angeles City Councilman Dennis P. Zine presented Army Chief of Staff Raymond Odierno with the Sate of California Certificate of Recognition, in honor of the U.S. Army's 237th Army Birthday; during an Army Birthday Breakfast at City Hall, June 12, 2012. The breakfast was attended by members of the Community Advisory Board. The mission of the AB is to help the Army meet its recruiting mission by working hand-in-hand with the L.A. Recruiting Battalion to raise awareness in the community through grassroots efforts. "I personally want to help the Army with its recruiting effort because the city of Los Angeles benefits when our men and women enlist to serve," said Zine. "The Military trained people that return to our communities bring with them Honor, Discipline and Leadership."
