SAN DIEGO (Jan. 15, 2019) Medical tools lay ready to use on an integrated trainer mannequin in Naval Medical Center San Diego’s (NMCSD) bio-skills training and simulation center Jan. 15. NMCSD hosted an Advanced Module Mannequin Study, as part of a pilot program to demonstrate new technology that provides NMCSD staff with in-depth and accurate simulated surgery. NMCSD’s mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services and shape the future of military medicine through education, training, and research. NMCSD employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians, and contractors in Southern California to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
