An E-3 Sentry based out of Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, returns to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Jan. 16, 2020, during exercise Sentry Aloha 20-1. The aircraft integrates with other combat aircraft as an Airborne Warning and Control System, giving friendly forces a clear picture of the battle space. Fighter, tanker, air-control and support units from 11 states travel to Hawaii to participate in Sentry Aloha 20-1. The Hawaii Air National Guard exercise is held to provide dissimilar-aircraft-combat-training with fourth and fifth generation aircraft.
