Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, unload a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle off of a Lockheed C-130 Hercules aircraft on Tinian, Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands, Dec. 12, 2019. CLB-31 conducted a combat logistics exercise focusing on light footprint combat logistics with mobile command and control and culminating with a barbecue and volleyball game with local community members. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
