ATLANTIC OCEAN (Jan. 20, 2020) Aviation Electronics Technician 1st Class Anthony Thompson, from Hellen, Georgia, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) aircraft intermediate maintenance department (AIMD), troubleshoots an aircraft Intelligent Repeatable Release Hold Back Bar (IRRHB) tester. The IRRHB is a device that is used to hold an aircraft in place on the flight deck untill optimum force is reached during the catapult launch.
