200107-A-DM672-1031 ARABIAN GULF (Jan. 7, 2020) Gunner’s Mate 1st Class Shane Howard, assigned to the coastal patrol ship USS Hurricane (PC 3), brings ammo to the MK38 gun for a training exercise during an underway in the Arabian Gulf. Hurricane is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
