Cpl. Kristi DeLashmutt, a musician with the U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific Band, plays during a New Zealand morning news show, TVNZ Breakfast, at the waterfront here June 13. The MarForPac Band and color guard are participating in events throughout New Zealand to commemorate the 70th anniversary of U.S. Marines arriving in Wellington during World War II. Military bands from both countries were present June 14, 1942, when 1st Marine Division landed in Wellington, and they will play a significant role in the commemoration events, which conclude June 22.
