Topeka, Kan., native Spc. Anthony Crawford, an Apache crew chief for Company C, 1st "Attack" Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, walks around the aircraft to make some final inspections before he helps it taxi for take off at Camp Taji, Iraq, Sept. 27. Unlike a car, the Apache has no rear mirrors, the pilots depend on the eyes of the crew chief while backing out of their parking spot.
