Sgt. Dariusz Kryzywonos, field artillery surveyor/medeorological crewmember with the Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 2-12 Field Artillery, 4th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, reacts to an assailant in the combatives portion of the I Corps Non-commissioned Officer of the Year Competition on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, June 6. Kryzywonos beat out seven other non-commissioned officers to win the competition and will move on to the Forces Command Non-commissioned Officer of the Year Competition scheduled to be held at Fort Bragg in July.
