Sergeant Major Anthony Sammartino (right) is congratulated by Col. Sergeant Major Daniel Fliegel (left), coming to Division from Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 101, was appointed as the new senior enlisted advisor of the largest battalion in “The Blue Diamond.” He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1986 as a combat engineer and is from Northfield, Minn. Sammartino, an air traffic controller by trade from Miami, retired after 24 years of service.
