U.S. Marines and airmen discuss embarkation of Marine Corps equipment into a C-5 Galaxy aircraft at March Air Force Base, Calif. Dec. 5, 2019. Marine embarkation specialists with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Air Force load masters from the 9th Airlift Squadron worked together to ensure proper load procedures during the joint strategic mobility exercise. Marines with the 13th MEU rehearsed vital mobility operations with U.S. Transportation Command assets; to improve rapid response capabilities in preparation for deployment to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.
