A Sailor heaves a mooring line as guided-missile destroyer USS Mitscher (DDG 57) prepares to moor pierside at Naval Station Norfolk in Norfolk, Va., Sept. 18, after a six-month deployment in support of Partnership of the Americas (POA). The Partnershop is designed to support U.S. Southern Command responsibilities by focusing on enhancing relationships with regional partner nations through a verity of exercises both at sea and ashore throughout South America and the Caribbean.
