CAMP TAJI, Iraq – Brig. Gen. Howard Geck, deputy commanding general, 1st Theater Sustainment Command Operational Command Post, visited Col. Emad, the officer in charge of the Iraqi Army Taji Medium Repair Facility in Camp Taji, Iraq, Nov. 19, 2019. Geck was briefed on how the Iraqi Army maintenance operations are contributing to the defeat of ISIS. Accompanying Geck were Soldiers from the 108th Sustainment Brigade, Task Force Lincoln, Team Blackhawks of the Illinois Army National Guard, who are executing the logistics advise, assist, and enable mission under the 1st Theater Sustainment Command supporting Combined Joint Task Force — Operation Inherent Resolve to continue building the sustainment capability of the Iraqi Security Forces (ISF).
