A Spanish Marine with Marine Infantry Brigade, wears the uniform patch for Exercise Valiant Wolf at Sierra de Retín, Spain, Nov. 25, 2019. The exercise combined the efforts of U.S. Marines with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Africa 20.1, Marine Forces Europe and Africa, Spanish Marines, Italian Marines, British Royal Marine Commandos who operated in joint teams. SPMAGTF-CR-AF is deployed to conduct crisis-response and theater-security operations in Africa and promote regional stability by conducting military-to-military training exercises throughout Europe and Africa.
