(Nov. 21, 2019) Naval Medical Center Portsmouth’s (NMCP) Health Promotion and Wellness Clinic staff members and Sailors assigned to Navy Environmental Preventive Medicine Unit (NEPMU) 2 displayed and passed out information to NMCP staff and visitors during the Great American Smoke Out (GASO) Health Fair on Nov. 21. GASO is an annual health event sponsored by the American Cancer Society, every third Thursday of November, to spread awareness of the harms of tobacco products and encourage tobacco users to quit, taking an important step toward a healthier life.
