An F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jet assigned to the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron “Thunderbirds” sits on the flight line at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, Nov. 17, 2019. The only modifications needed to prepare the Thunderbirds F-16’s for its air demonstration roles are installing a smoke-generating system in the space normally reserved for the 20mm cannon, and the painting of the aircraft in Thunderbird colors.
