Greek soldiers provide indirect fire support for advancing U.S. Army paratroopers assigned to Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade while engaging in a platoon live-fire assault during Exercise Iron Sword 19 in Kilkis, Greece, Nov. 19, 2019.
Exercise Iron Sword is a joint training exercise between elements from 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment; 3rd Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment; and the 71st Air Mobile Brigade taking place at the Urban Warfare National Training Center in Kilkis, Greece from Nov. 18 to Nov. 26, 2019. The exercise is designed to strengthen interoperability between Greek and U.S. forces and demonstrate the 173rd’s commitment to its NATO allies.
