Airman 1st Class Paul Poonpanich, electrical power production apprentice assigned to the 509th Civil Engineer Squadron at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, checks the amps and voltage on a load meter on Nov. 13, 2019. The primary function of a load meter is to indicate the peak usage of electricity since the last time that the monitor was read, normally to determine if any sudden power surges had occurred.
