Chief Warrant Officer 5 Matthew Carmichael, a Chinook helicopter pilot from the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, Fort Drum, pulls a blade rope into position for removal at an airport in St. Louis, Mo. Carmichael joined a small task force consisting of active duty Army, National Guard and civilian crew members to ferry 12 CH-47F model Chinook helicopters to the 1st Battalion, 52nd Aviation Regiment in Fairbanks, Alaska, in April.
