VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (November 11, 2019) Command Master Chief Petty Officer Mercedes Hargrove, the command master chief of Strike Fighter Squadron 34 (VFA-34), Cmdr. William Mathis, the former commanding officer of VFA-34, Cmdr. Juston Kuch, the new commanding officer of VFA-34, and Capt. Joshua Sager, the deputy commander of Carrier Air Wing Eight (CVW-8), stand together following VFA-34’s change of command ceremony at Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit (CNATTU) Ceremonial Hangar Bay onboard Naval Station Oceana in Virginia Beach, VA.
