    Ohio National Guard volunteers march as part of the MILVETS Columbus Veterans Day Parade to honor the service of veterans and to salute those currently serving in the military Nov. 8 in downtown Columbus, Ohio. MILVETS promotes patriotism by conducting, producing and sponsoring public discussions, group forums, panels, lectures, displays, parades, banquets and similar events to create and maintain community awareness of the need for a strong national defense.
