The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Buffalo District's sea lamprey barrier project at the Harpersfield Dam in Geneva, OH, will help prevent sea lamprey from moving upstream of the Grand River. Sea lamprey have created a problem in the Great Lakes because of their aggressive parasitism on key predator species and game fish, such as Lake Trout, Lake Whitefish, Chub, and Lake Herring.
