A formal military or patriotic banquet event is being held inside a large aviation museum hangar. Multiple historic and modern military aircraft are displayed both suspended from the ceiling and on the floor, with a large American flag serving as a backdrop. A live orchestra or band is performing in the foreground while attendees are seated at round tables with white tablecloths.

More than 450 guests, including current and retired members of the Ohio National Guard’s 180th Fighter Wing, gathered together Nov. 9, 2019, for a ceremony honoring Lt. Col. Kevin “Sonny” Sonnenberg, an F-16 pilot assigned to the 180FW who was killed in action during a combat mission, June 15, 2007, while serving in Iraq. The ceremony, honoring Sonnenberg’s selfless service and sacrifice, included the dedication of an F-16 fighter jet in his name, that will remain on display at the museum.
