191111-N-YZ252-0008 NEW YORK (Nov. 11, 2019) An Honor Guard from USS Carter Hall (LSD 50) marches the Ensign at New York Athletic Club’s All Sports Dinner on Nov. 11, 2019. Sailors and Marines assigned to Carter Hall hosted ship tours for the public, paid tribute to veterans of all generations, attended sporting events and marched in New York City’s Veterans Day Parade. This year, the Veterans Day celebration commemorated the centennial of the holiday, established in 1919 as Armistice Day.
