Marines of the Special Marine Air Ground Task Force New York, culminate Fleet Week New York 2012 with a motivational run through the city passing the New York Stock Exchange, honoring all those that lost their lives on 9/11 for the Marines' week-long celebration of FWNY 2012, May 29. Fleet Week is an opportunity for Marines, sailors and Coast Guardsmen to show the people of New York who the Marine, Navy and Coast Guard team are, what they do, and how committed they are to serving this country. Twenty-one U.S. and coalition ships and more than 6,000 troops are participating in the 25th anniversary of Fleet Week New York, a celebration of the Bicentennial of the War of 1812, May 23-30.
