    An aerial refueling operation is captured from the boom operator's position aboard a tanker aircraft, looking down at a receiver aircraft approaching for fuel transfer. The receiver aircraft is a USAF KC-10 Extender or similar wide-body military tanker/transport, identifiable by its markings and twin underwing engines. The refueling boom extends downward from the top of the frame toward the approaching aircraft.

    A KC-135R assigned to the Utah Air National Guard’s 151st Air Refueling Wing, conducts air refueling operations with a KC-46 Pegasus assigned to the 22nd Air Refueling Wing, McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas. The KC-46 is the Air Forces newest aircraft in it's fleet and can carry a combination of more than 210,000 pounds of fuel, 65,000 pounds of cargo and 58 passengers.
