Coast Guard 14th District holds repatriation ceremony for World War II service member [Image 4 of 4]
Service members from the Coast Guard 14th District transfer the remains of Lt. Thomas Crotty to an Air Station Kodiak HC-130 Hercules airplane during a repatriation ceremony at Air Station Barbers Point, Oct. 31, 2019. Crotty, who's remains were recently identified, was taken prisoner following the defense of the Philippines in World War II and later died in a Japanese prisoner of war camp.
