191024-N-RI884-3515 STRAIT OF MAGELLAN (Oct. 24, 2019) A helicopter assigned to the Blackjacks of Helicopter Sea Combat (HSC) squadron 21 is secured to the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) as the ship transits the Strait of Magellan around the southernmost point of the American continent. Wasp is currently transiting through 4th Fleet area of operations while conducting a homeport shift from Sasebo, Japan to Norfolk, Virginia.
