Thomas Rotton of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center’s (MARMC) Hull Division demonstrates how to use the water jet is to cut material to Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Commander Vice Adm. Tom Moore and Executive Director of NAVSEA Jim Smerchansky during a tour of MARMC’s production facility at Building CEP 200 on Naval Station Norfolk. Moore visited MARMC and held an all hands call where he discussed MARMC’s role to sustaining the Navy’s operational capability and the importance of consistently returning ships to the fleet on time. MARMC provides surface ship maintenance, management and oversight of private sector maintenance and fleet technical assistance to ships in the Mid-Atlantic region.
