U.S. Marine Corps Pfc. Giovanni Peneloza, a chemical biological radiological and nuclear defense marine with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, I Marine Expeditionary Force, gives a period of instruction on adjusting the M61 gas mask before the annual chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense training at Camp Pendleton, Calif., October 24, 2019. The 13th MEU conducted CBRN training to ensure proper usage and employment of their gear in a contaminated environment. The California-based 13th MEU is a scalable, and highly capable Marine Air Ground Task Force, designed to rapidly respond to a wide range of military operations around the globe.
