CADIZ, Spain (Oct. 19, 2019) U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Edward Cashman, commander, Standing NATO Maritime Group One (SNMG1), gives a speech aboard the Royal Canadian Navy Halifax-class frigate HMCS Halifax (FFH 330), flagship of Standing NATO Maritime Group Two (SNMG2), during a reception hosted by SNMG1 and SNMG2 as the two groups conduct scheduled visits throughout Spain following the completion of exercise Dynamic Mariner 2019. The NATO Maritime Command-led Dynamic Mariner/Flotex 19 (DYMR/FL19) tests NATO's Response Force Maritime Component and enhances the flexibility and interoperability amongst Allied nations. DYMR/FL19 involved ships, submarines, aircraft and personnel from eighteen Allied nations which converged off the coast of Spain.
