U.S. Navy Lt. Markquis Jones, a chaplain, participates in a bench press competition at a portable high intensity tactical training gym during exercise KAMANDAG 3 at Subic Bay, Philippines, Oct. 18, 2019. Jones, a native of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is with Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 36. KAMANDAG is an acronym for the Filipino phrase “Kaagapay Ng Mga Manirigma Ng Dagat,” which translates to “Cooperation of the Warriors of the Sea,” highlighting the partnership between the U.S. and Philippine militaries.
