RED SEA (Oct. 14, 2019) Members of the visit, board, search, and seizure team assigned to the guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60) participate in reload drills with M4 carbine rifles and M9 pistols on the fantail of the ship. Normandy is part of the East Coast Surface Action Group and is operating in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
