SAN FRANCISCO (Oct. 11, 2019) – A Marine mans the rails aboard the San Antonio class amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25) while the ship transits the San Francisco Bay as part of the parade of ships during 2019 San Francisco Fleet Week (SFFW). SFFW is an opportunity for the American public to meet their Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard teams and experience America's sea services. During fleet week, service members participate in various community service events, showcase capabilities and equipment to the community, and enjoy the hospitality of San Francisco and its surrounding areas.
