The Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point Fire and Emergency Services respond to a mutual aid call in Havelock, North Carolina, to assist with extinguishing a house fire July 23, 2019. When the need arises, MCAS Cherry Point and the City of Havelock have a mutual aid agreement to assist each other in emergency situations. Even before Havelock had a fire department, MCAS Cherry Point assisted the community with putting out fires and transporting wounded individuals to the hospital.
