SAN FRANCISCO – Volunteers with the American Legion Cathay Post 384 serve a special luncheon to Sailors and Marines assigned to U.S. Navy ships USS Somerset (LPD-25), USS Charleston (LCS-18) and USS Zumwalt (DDG-1000) during San Francisco Fleet Week 2019 (SFFW). This event is an opportunity for active duty servicemembers to share stories with veterans and enjoy a home-cooked meal while in port for Fleet Week. SFFW is an opportunity for the American public to meet their Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard teams and experience America's sea services. During fleet week, service members participate in various community service events, showcase capabilities and equipment to the community, and enjoy the hospitality of San Francisco and its surrounding areas.
